He was predeceased by: his wife Miriam Smith; his parents, Yeltze Fritzemeier and George Fritzemeier; and his siblings, Harke, William and Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Janna Malde (Dave) of Sioux Falls, Beth Freed (David) of Redondo Beach, California, Jed Fritzemeier (Nancy) of Chelsea, Michigan and Todd Fritzemeier (Katie) of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, Melissa, Beth, Cari, Lori, Mark, Rebekah, Elliot, Wesley, Ella and Austin; and his sister-in-law Loretta Buxton (Leonard). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 1 newly born great-great grandchild.
