It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arverd Jerome Lachowitzer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Lachowitzer and Esther Lachowitzer (Ross); his wife Janet Sershen (Johnson); and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his children, Arverd Lachowitzer, Jr. (Lori) of Scranton, ND, Judy (Donnie), Jody Lachowitzer of Fargo, ND and Chad Lachowitzer (Julie) of Fargo, ND; his stepchildren, Cathy Scherer (David) of Brandon, SD, Steven Sershen (Nancy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Daniel Sershen (Teresa) of Overland Park, KS; and his sister Sharon Pahl (Orlin) of Hawley, MN. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
