He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert DeWit and Jennie DeWit (Baker); his wife Ann Van Velzen; his daughter Carol; and his brothers, John, Henry and Marv.
He is survived by: his children, Dale DeWit (Jeanne) of Naperville, IL and Diane Bonnema (Vince) of Grand Rapids, MI; his son-in-law Tom VanDenBosch (Gloria) of Sioux Center, IA; and his brothers, Don, Floyd and Bernie DeWit. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
