We bid farewell to Arlen Gary Te Slaa of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 18, 2025 at the age of 77. Arlen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Slaa and Gertrude Te Slaa; his brother Howard (Gertrude Te Slaa); his sister-in-law Joyce Te Slaa; and his parents-in-law, Donna Drey, Kenneth Drey and Howard Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Diane Horton; his children, Eric Te Slaa (Kattie), Katrina Anderson (Scott) and Andrew Te Slaa (Megan); his grandchildren, Miloh, Beck Te Slaa, Jacob Anderson and Nina Te Slaa; his siblings, Cleo of Hull, IA, Norm (Cathy) of Lakewood, CO, Dee Gorter (Clarence) of Sioux Falls, SD and Sharon Winkel (Marv) of George, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Horton of Klamath Falls, OR, Terry Horton (Jill) of Canton, SD, Kip Horton and Jody Leibel (Terry) of Pierre, SD. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (7100 E 26th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57110).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Zion Lutheran Foundation.
