With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ardelle R. Hoy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on October 21, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Steen and Amanda Steen (Hillestad); her husband S. Oakley Hoy; and her sisters, Elaine Steen and Ivonne Kovack (Dan).
She is survived by: her children, Steven Hoy (Bobbi) of Edina, MN, Mary Jo Moseley (Clark) of Chancellor, SD and Doug Hoy (Jean) of Sioux Falls; her grandchildren, Chris Hoy (Mitzi) of Odessa, TX, Alex Hoy (Nina) of Stillwater, MN, Elizabeth Stiernagle (Matt) of Alden, MN, Katy Leet (Jon) of Rockford, MN, Andrew Hoy (Laura) of Sioux Falls and Miles Hoy of Sioux Falls; and her niece Jane Dunn (Barry). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to Hope Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
