She was predeceased by: her parents, August Karsten and Josephine Karsten (Johnson); her husband Kenneth H. Pedersen; her granddaughter Karen Rehfeldt; her siblings, Mildred Moen, Margaret Staeffler, Ernest Karsten and Robert Karsten; and her siblings-in-law, Iner Moen, Leonard Staeffler and Phylis Karsten.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Rehfeldt of Humboldt, SD; her granddaughters, Cindy Pirrung (Rick Starnes) and Diane Fodness (Troy); her great grandchildren, Shawn Barnett (Jim) of Sioux Falls, SD, Captain Nicholas Fodness (Stephanie) and Andrew Fodness (Jenna); and her great great grandchildren, Mary, Sarah, Sam Barnett, Sophie and Jameson Fodness. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
