She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Lillian Sommervold; her adoptive father Ben Harkema; her former husband Stanley Gillette; her children, Stan Gillette (Lou) of Sioux Falls, Debbie McIntire of Sioux Falls, Mary Letsche of Sioux Falls, Brett Gillette of Harrisburg and Candy Eide (Kevin) of Sioux Falls; her grandchildren, Joshua Gillette (Laura Wilson) of Brunswick, GA, Jessica Gillette Constant of Victoria, MN, April Gillette (James Niehaus) of Baltic, Jennifer Marthaler (Jake) of Woodville, WI, Bobbi Jo Horsted (Ned) of Sioux Falls, Tony McNear-Gillette (Caleb) of Sioux Falls, Tasha Coelho (Israel) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Gerald, Katrina Letsche of Great Falls, MT and Aly Eide; her stepgrandchildren, Anthony Blaine (Kristen) of Hartford, SD and Andrea Blaine Boatwright (James) of Omaha, NE; her sister Evelyn; her siblings-in-law, Donnie Schliemann of Sioux Falls, Jack Sellers of DuBois, PA and Mary Harkema of Sioux Falls; her father Ben Harkema; her husband Stan; her son Terry; her grandchildren, Randy, Tara and Amanda; and her siblings, Johnny Harkema, Violet Sellers DuBois, Raymond Harkema (Liz), Marlene Schliemann and David Harkema.

The family requests that all attendees wear a mask and practice distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to the Sanford Children's Hospital.
