She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Zanten and Kate Van Zanten (Paauw); her husband Walter Burgers; her daughter Carole; her siblings, Jeanette Van Zanten, Nellie Burgers, Dewey Van Zanten and J. W. Van Zanten; and her great grandchild Avery Burgers.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Burgers (Brandon), Cal Burgers (Glenda) of Lyndon, WA, Ruth Bozung (Carl Junction) and Dan Burgers (Michele); her son-in-law Warren Wissink of Ripon, CA; and her brother Melvin Van Zanten (Jan). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren.
