He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Sharfstein (Schumer). He is survived by: his sister Phoebe Brown; his children, Susan Sharfstein (Joseph Shiang) and Philip Sharfstein (Susan Barron); and his grandchildren, Elan Sharfstein, Molly Sharfstein, Orit Sharfstein, Reba Sharfstein and Chana Sharfstein. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
