He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steder and Irma Steder (Schauer); his brother Ray; his uncle Milton "Mindy" Schauer (Cora); his cousin Brad Sagmo; his parents-in-law, Ludwig and Esther Sieler; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Sieler, Wilbert Sieler and Jerry Roemmich.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Sieler of Selby; his brother Don Steder (Deb) of Selby; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Thies of Rapid City, Virginia Mayer (Dale) of Selby, Lyla Schick (Elden) of Selby, Betty Prasek of Herreid, Diane Roemmich of Selby, Reta Rossow (Larry) of Herreid and Ray Sieler (Cora) of Newton, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
