He is survived by: his mother Esther Schley (Helgeson) of Aberdeen; his former wife Debra Brockel; his sons, Eric (Kourtenay) of Mobridge and Nick (Angela Grabau) of Rochester, MN; his grandsons, Rylee and Addison; his sisters, Ellen Renner (Adolph) of Aberdeen and Estelle Meyers (Vern) of Aberdeen; his sister-in-law Debbie Schley of St. Charles, MO; his mother-in-law Nina Brockel of Selby; and his brother-in-law Dave Brockel of Hoven.
