He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Meta Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Gukeisen) of Parkston, SD.; his children, Scott Nelson (Betha) of Hartford and Cara Schaeffer (Tim) of Olivet; his grandchildren, Nicole, Cassidy, Kevin, Brodric and Ryley; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Jazmine; and his brother Larry Nelson of Pierre.
Memorials will be given to the Joseph Verm American Legion Post #155 and Paul Grossheusch VFW Post #2966 in Scotland.
