With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elmer Keller (Scotland, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Keller and Albina Keller (Stoebner); his wives, Carol Jeanette Hahn and Geraldine Thornhill; and his siblings, Lenora Dewald (Julius), Ruben and Melvin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela, Mona, Teresa, Susan and Renee; his great great grandchildren, Pamela Rhodes, Matthew, Grace (Charlotte), Bethany, Mona Nelles (Dave), Justin Dewald, Chanda Bierema, Teresa Vlasman, Rob Cannon (Landon), Susan Punt, Nathan, Carrie (Eva), Renee Maruska (Steve), Derek, Danielle Hahn and Kalen Maruska; his sister Bertha Friederich (late Victor); his friend LaVerne Goeken; his family, Rick and Urooj Ali (Ayaan); and also, Tim, Christina, Stephanie, Jarod Guthmiller (Paige), Jessica, Collette, Bret Krutsch (Kadyn), Damon and Kalley Hodgins (Ethan). He is also survived by 5 daughters, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (940 First St, Scotland, SD 57059). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Friedens Reformed Church Cemetery (41113 288th St, Tripp, SD 57376).
