With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Diane Bietz of Scotland, South Dakota, who passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elton "Shorty" and Charlotte Thum (Muehlbeier); her husband Dennis Bietz; her son Mike Bietz (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Annaliese, Emersen and Polly; her children, Amy Bartlett (Tim) of Lee's Summit, MO and Nate; her siblings, Rita Baker (Don) and Dennis Thum (Ellen); her father-in-law Eugene Bietz; her sister-in-law Donna Nelson (Ron); her aunts, Viola Popma and Shirley Muehlbeier; and her uncle Lester. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
On February 1, 2021, Dorothy asked her doctor when she could hug people again after getting her second covid shot the next day.
