She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Karp and Anna Karp (Nachtigal); her son Allen Michael; her husband Leo Stangle; and her siblings, Don, Fred and Rita.
She is survived by: her family New Underwood; her children, Michael Stangle (Tanya) of Scenic, Richard Stangle (Karlene) of Hermosa and Lori Gossard (Lee) of Wicksville; her siblings, Kenny Karp (Sharon) of New Underwood, Judy Warren (Jim) of Arizona, Jeanie McQuistion of Texas and Theresa Moore of Nebraska; her friends, Judy Knuppe and Joleen McIlravy; and her children, Kerry Prendiville, Clint Stangle, Curtis Stangle, Joleen McIlravy, Mary Boydson, Mike Farland, Alisha Arch, Casey Stangle, Matt Kelly Marshall Stangle, Shane Stangle Dace Kelly, Brice Stangle, Allie Stangle, Shannon Maxon, Alicia Stangle Marla Guptill, Chantelle Kepler and Sarah Johnson. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church (106 S A Street, New Underwood, SD 57761). A vigil service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Underwood Gym. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Scenic Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:30 PM.
Her contributions to the community she loved didn't go unnoticed and in 2017 she received The Catalyst Club Good Neighbor Award.
