He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Hugo and Vivian Bents-Post (Dagel); his former wife ViAnn Hofmeyer; and his brother Andy. He is survived by: his father-in-law Virgil; his wife Carol of Salem; his children, Leah Smith (Duane) of Watertown, Cody Bents (Delores) of Mitchell and Jodi Ducheneaux (Lance) of Mitchell; his grandchildren, David, Ora, Skyler, Daniel, Addison, Starr and William; his great grandchild Scarlett; his siblings, Doug, Hank and Roben; and his sister-in-law Barb Bents.
