With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pauline Ernster (Salem, South Dakota), born in Bridgewater, South Dakota, who passed away on May 5, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Hornak and Lena Hornak (Ackerman); her husband Norbert Ernster; and her siblings, Tom, Jim Hornak, Anna Meyer, Sanna Hornak, Frieda Kunkel, Betty Graff and Marie Stoltz.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Ernster (Yvonne) of Chester, SD, Dennis Ernster (Barb) of Sioux Falls, SD, Ron Ernster (Vicki) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin Ernster (Kim) of Salem, SD, Ken Ernster (Gloria), Keith Ernster (Deanna) of Tea, SD, Karen McCullough (Kent) and Cindy Terwilliger (Dale) of Winfred, SD. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
