It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helene J. Eichacker (Salem, South Dakota), who passed away on January 17, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Aloysius Ernster and Sophia Ernster (Nipp); her children, Thomas (Nancy) of Sioux Falls, Mike (Michele) of Salem, Bill (Deb) of Salem, Theresa DeLanghe of Cannon Falls, MN and Randy (Wendy) of Yankton; her siblings, Al Ernster (Jody), Jim Ernster (Jeanette), Glenn Ernster (Carol), Eugene Ernster (Rhonda), Ed Engel (Rosie), Annabelle Hoffman, Marlys Elliot and Janet Wendt; her husband Lyle; her son Gerald; and her brothers, Verus, Norbert, Roger and Clair. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials which will go towards Helene's favorite charities.
