He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Westhoff and Bernette Westhoff (Weber); and his wife Donna (Cromwell) of Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by: his daughter Danielle Westhoff Smith (Cameron); his grandchildren, Daniel, Cecilia and Adeline of St. Paul, MN; his son Scott Westhoff (Melissa); his grandchildren, Kolby and Brooke of Sioux Falls; his daughter Lynette VanEmmerik (Tyler); his grandchildren, Claire, Noah and Connor of Sioux Falls; his son Paul Westhoff (Shaina); his grandchildren, William, Tessa and Ruby of Salem; and his siblings, David Westhoff, Connie Westhoff (Dwane Wylie), Mary McHugh (Mike), Rachelle Barrett (Bob), Denise O'Neill (Joe), Karen Westhoff (Dan Rogers), Ken Westhoff (Paige) and Kristi Waechter (Chris). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kinzley Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Salem, SD 57058). A prayer was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (340 N Idaho St, Salem, SD 57058).
