He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Ray and Opal Keeter; his brother Ken Keeter; his wife Dawn Elaine Keeter (Borota); and his grandson Beau Keeter.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Julie; his children, Laura Cooney (Chad) of Arthur, NE, Julie Keeter of Miller, SD, Jim Keeter (Chris) of St. Lawrence, SD and Della Stallard (Bob) of Decatur, TX; his grandchildren, Savanah Cooney, Annie Gatzke (Landon), Austin Stallard, Emily Gutierrez (Carlos), Ethan Stallard (Chelsey) and Cole Stallard (Hope); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Stallard, Sarah Gutierrez and Jack Stallard.
