He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Pickard and Bernice Pickard (Vaughn); his son Allen Pickard; his siblings, Dorthy Christie, Donna Harvey and Vernon Pickard; and his son-in-law Allen Herrick.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Pickard; his children, Loren Pickard (Robin) of Viborg, SD, Chelle Pluth (Rory) of Lake Mills, WI and Peggy Herrick (Dave Lemberg); his daughter-in-law Sheena Pickard of Spokane, WA; his brother Quentin Pickard (Judy); his grandchildren, Jesse Kremer, Lindsey Pickard, Tyler Pickard, Katie Philips, Nathan Pickard, Jennifer Van Hull, Melissa Meinke, Sarah Spier, Ramsey Pickard and Chelsea Herrick; and his sisters-in-law, Marlys Pickard and Sharon Hamilton. He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (203 3rd St, Nunda, SD 57050). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
