He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Krone and Caroline Krone (Gronau) of Veblen, SD.; his parents-in-law, Olga, Soren Christiansen and Nels Larsen; his siblings, Louis Jr. Krone (Lyla) and Reinhold "Red" Krone (Elsie); and his mothers-in-law, Elsa Kunkle (Snook), Ruth Cowles (David), Gladys Nelson (Wally), Millie (Ray Serocki) and Agnes Tuff (Curt).
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Christiansen; his children, Roger Krone (Faye) of Mobridge, SD, Rick Krone (Pat) of Dilworth, MN, Colleen Wehri (Chuck) of West Fargo, ND and Steve Krone (Chickie) of West Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Toby Krone (Heather) of Moorhead, MN, Chris Wehri (Kari) of West Fargo, ND and Kim Solseth of West Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Grace, Ethan, Cobe, Caleb and Henry; and his sisters-in-law, Elaine and June Krone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
