He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Hokanson and Elizabeth Hokanson (Hoffman); his wife Phyllis LeClair; his brother Donald; and his brothers-in-law, Tony Schiltz, Curt, David and Randy LeClair.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Heesch (Ron) of Christine, ND, Leah Syverson of St. Cloud, MN, Jill Eggers (Kelly) of Rosholt, Wayne Hokanson (Lorie) of Rosholt and Darren Hokanson of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Austin Eggers, Mackenzie Wieser (Matthew), Madeline Syverson (Jake Frishman), Sierra Krueger (Adam), Alec Heesch (Jamie Ronning), Sasha Gilbertson (Austin), Anna Eggers (Jared Rohloff), Addison Syverson (Jake Bennett), Sydney Hokanson, Halle Hokanson and Ethan Hokanson; his great grandchildren, Mazie, Elsie Krueger, Josie and Freddy Wieser; and his sisters-in-law, Lana Schiltz, Ina Akerson (George), Burlene LeClair and Roberta LeClair. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
