She is survived by: her husband Bennett Mekvold; her children, Deann Younglove (Ron) of Quincy, IL, Leann Niebuhr (Chuck Sherman) of Sioux Falls, SD, Renee Mekvold of Renner, SD, Craig Mekvold of Crowley Lake, CA, Jill Cowles of Chaska, MN, Jana McKinley (Bill) of Lake Stevens, WA and Steve Mekvold of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Jared Younglove (Missy), Michael Younglove (Katie), Jennifer Kleinjan (Nick), Travis Cowles, Abbey Niebuhr (Jon Rood), Courtland Niebuhr, Lauren Smith (James), Carrie Albertus (Steve Felice) and Presley Mekvold; her sister-in-law Joanne Morton (Dave); her brothers, Ken and Don Hastings; her son-in-law David Niebuhr; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Mahr and Donna Hastings. She is also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews of her beloved brothers and Bennett's sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Renner Lutheran Church or the Berg Cemetery.
