He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Bushong and Grace Bushong (Deeble); his sister Helen Bussell; and his daughter Debra Bushong. He is survived by: his significant other Donna Sisson of Redfield; his sons, Dave (Diane) of Sioux Falls, SD and Todd (Ann) of Tulare; and his grandchildren, Angie Bushong, Lauren Cornay, Organist, Diane Tipton, Soloist, Jessica DeYoung, Pallbearers, Brad Bushong, Landon Bushong, Austin Bushong, Cory Miller, Tanner Cornay, Jim Traetow, Honorary Pallbearers, Royce Bush, Delbert Bottom, Randy Schultz, George Schade and Al Benning.
