She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Claeyssens and Marguerite Claeyssens (Huys); her husband Cyriel Claeys; her stepson Robert Claeys (Mary); her stepgrandson Raymond Tabbert; her stepgreat-grandchild Rael Lazaro; and her siblings, Leopold Claeyssens (Paul), Monique Cacelle Flaminck of Belgium, Jacqueline DeSlypere of Belgium and Luceinne Claeyssens of Belgium.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Claeys (Cyndi) of Brookings, SD, Arnold Claeys (Kris) of Huron, SD and Caroline Masat (Steve) of Redfield; and her stepchildren, Betty Tabbert (Victor) of Elkhorn, NE, Elmer Claeys (Mary) of Cordova, TN and Donald Claeys (Ruth) of Firestone, CO.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, nine-step grandchildren; nineteen-step great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial with immediate family only will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Redfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to The American Heart Association, Redfield Senior Center, or Redfield Community Memorial Hospital and Clinic Foundation.
