He is survived by: his grandchildren, Honorary Pallbearers, Merle Gross and LeRoy Fuerst; his wife Alma Hulett; his son Henry Schilling (Cynthia) of McComb, MS; his grandsons, Jeremy and Zachary; his son Ted Schilling (Jill) of Spearfish, SD; his grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Timothy and Emma; his daughter Ruth Logan of Aberdeen, SD; his grandchildren, Leeann, Susan, Kimberly and Tiffany; his daughter-in-law Michelle Schilling of Watertown, SD; his granddaughter-in-law Samantha; his great grandchildren, Jonathan and Brielle; his siblings, Ivan Schilling and Sara Lembke; and his sister-in-law Millie Schilling. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
