He was predeceased by: his daughter Sharon Gaarsland; his grandchildren, Annette, Alan and Ladell; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Triten and Christopher; his great great grandchild Xander; his siblings, Carrol Geuke and Ethelene Fliehe; and his son-in-law Delvin Sheridan.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Backer of Zell, SD; his children, Randy Geuke (Nicolle) of Deadwood, SD, Sandy Stevens of Little Falls, MN, Kevin Geuke (Rhonda) of Redfield, SD, Barb Sheridan (late Delvin) of Redfield, SD, Brian Geuke (LaRae) of Turton, SD, Kim Taken (Les) of Watertown, SD and Becky Mins (Shane) of Belle Fourche, SD.; and his son-in-law Joey Gaarsland. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
