It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerard Gabriel of Redfield, South Dakota, born in Hosmer, South Dakota, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Gabriel and Elizabeth Gabriel (Imbery); his brother Leroy; and his siblings-in-law, Grace Gabriel, Janet Marsh, Alice Carr, Duane Carr, Virgil Dornbusch, Mike Huber, Thank, Clergy and Reverend John Short.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Carr; his daughters, Linda Fuss (Steven Runnings) of Denver, CO, Donna Bourdon of Redfield, SD, Carol Cotton (Maurice) of Piedmont, SD, Kimberly Whitley (Donavon) of Frankfort, SD and Kristina Lambert (Robert) of Spearfish, SD; his grandchildren, Rustin Fuss (Jessica Baiza), Casie Cotton, Jessie Cotton (Candi), Melissa Bourdon, Nikiah Hamilton (John), Riley Whitley, Nicole Lambert (Tim Benting), Alison Odland (Clayton) and Ryan Lambert (Jennifer); his siblings, Quentin Gabriel of West Virginia and Shirley Dornbusch of Sioux Falls, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Gabriel of Loveland, CO, Frank Carr (Sarah), Joann Huber and Clinton Carr (Audrey) of Redfield. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic and out of respect for front-line workers and safety for all, the family will cherish Gerard's memory with a private family Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p. m. on Friday, December 11, 2020.
