Erika (Hoefer) Lindberg Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erika (Hoefer) Lindberg (Redfield, South Dakota), who passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hoefer and Margarette Hoefer (Fleishmann); and her sister Sofie Hinkelmann Ulmer. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Lindberg; her children, Shirley Swanson (Greg), Bonnie Brinegar (Chris), David Sante (Ruth), John Lindberg (Terri), James Lindberg (Christy), Mary Martin (Greg) and Jenny Lindberg (Nancy); her grandchildren, Rueben Bolton, Trevor Swanson (Sigrid), Melissa Lorenzen (Travis), Sydney Martin, Kayla Beck (Derek), Patrick Martin, Ryan Lindberg (Mariah) and Sam Lindberg; her sister Edith Takacs (Zoltan); and her nephew Gabor Takacs. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, canine companion Buddy, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hyke Funeral Home (101 E 7th Ave, Redfield, SD 57469). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM and at 3:30 PM.
Erika was firm in her request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Tri-County Good Samaritan Center (19 East 7th Avenue, Redfield, South Dakota, 57469).
