He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Akin and Delores Akin (Lovold); and his nephews, Tommy and Tim Campbell (Robert Fuss). He is survived by: his wife Sally Leach; his son Jerome Akin (Samantha); his grandson Abel of Aberdeen; his siblings, Jeffery "Buck" Akin (Diane) of Redfield, Victoria Schmidt of Webster, SD, Janet Kegler (Terry) of Redfield and Sheila Roeber of Redfield; and his nieces and nephews, Marty, Johnny, Viki De, Brian, Jamie, Shelby, Travis, Lucas, Sarah and Jacob. He is also survived by many great-nephews and nieces, and cousins.
