Ronald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daryl Liebig and Genny Liebig (Nollsch); and his brother Roy Dean. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Liebig; his children, Shane Liebig (Kyleen) and Misty Cavanaugh (Brian); his grandchildren, Kaycee (Andrew), Kane (Sydney), Tyler (Sarah) and Finn; and his siblings, Hip, Bill, KayAnn (Jerry) and Patty Jo (Wayne). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home (2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785). A reception was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moose Lodge 1137.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1273 in Sam's honor.
