He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Maier (Pete) and Ella Maier; his father-in-law Clinton Eggleston; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Sampson and Stan Eggleston.
He is survived by: his family Mike; his wife Cindy; his daughters, Heidi (Andre Shackett) and Megan Ernst (William Ernst); his sisters, Gloria Zmuda (Denny Zmuda) and Rose Sampson; his grandson Theodore Ernst; his mother-in-law Joyce Eggleston; his brothers-in-law, Danny and Randy Eggleston; and his nieces and nephews, Dale Zmuda (Heather Zmuda), Troy Zmuda (Ally Zmuda), Jeff Sampson, Jody Henderson (Bryan Henderson), Olivia Eggleston, Misty Eggleston and Dylan Eggleston. He is also survived by father to his girls.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kirk Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1051 E Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD 57701).
