It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Roy Massa of Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Massa and Shirley Massa; his granddaughters, Amelia, Brookanne and Cecilia Massa; and his former wife Sherry Massa.

He is survived by: his children, Monique Miller (Nathan) of South Haven, MN, Lawrence Massa (Christina) of Tempe, AZ, Angela Stanford (Michael) of Rapid City, SD and Dominic Massa (Brenna) of Lakewood, CO.; his grandchildren, Hawkin Miller, Savannah Jones (Brody), Joseph Massa and Astoria Massa; and his siblings, Ida Langer, Ann Peterson, Mike Massa (Pam), Pia Wilkins, Tom Massa and Mark Massa (Beth).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 510 9th St, Rapid City, SD 57701. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church (221 Knollwood Dr, Rapid City, SD 57701).

The family encourages those who can to donate blood or make a monetary donation to their local blood bank in his memory. In place of ﬂowers, donations can also be made to the Sioux Spiritual Center.
