She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Koch and Elizabeth Koch; her husband Sylvester Schmitt; her son Allen; her siblings, Gene Koch, Alfred Koch, Delores Wermers, Donald Koch and James Koch; and her parents-in-law, Peter and Marie Schmitt.
She is survived by: her brothers, Jerry Koch (Jan) and Tom Koch (Deb); her brothers-in-law, Vincent Schmitt and Paul Schmitt (Patty); and her children, Greg Schmitt (Margaret), Shirley Kirby (Ron), Barb Howard (Bill), Brenda Schmitt, Karen Malone (Tim) and Brian Schmitt (Brooke). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
