It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet L Pettis of Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Henry and Lottie Henry (Brown); her son Kevin Jensen; her siblings, Paul Henry and Joyce Burkes (Alton); her uncle Jimmy; her aunt Daisy Wales; and her great-niece Delia Burkes.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell Pettis; her sons, Keith Jensen, Rod Pettis (Janet), Trent Pettis (Darla) and Reese Pettis (Wendee); her daughter-in-law Joyce Jensen; her grandchildren, Anessa Grant (Spencer), Jaron Pettis (Erika), Samuel Pettis, Henry Pettis, Jamie Pettis and Caitlyn Pettis; her great grandchildren, Leo Pettis and Willow White; her siblings-in-law, Gary Pettis (Pat), Dala Blank and Renee Dollahan; her nieces and nephews, Shawn Pettis, Shane Pettis, Karla Higgins (John), Brad Burkes (Letty) and Stan Burkes; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Caleb Higgins and JD Higgins; and her cousins, Patsy Meyer (John), Jonathan Meyer (Emily), Donavan Meyer (Christine) and Julie Meyer.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Open Bible Church of Rapid City (2225 E Saint Patrick St, Rapid City, SD 57701).
