She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Korevaar and Ada Korevaar (DeWaard); her husband LeRoy; her stepmother Kate Korevaar (Van Der Werff); her siblings, Nell Heeringa (Bud), Ann Vander Griend (Adrian) and Arlo Korevaar (Ann); and her grandsons, Mark and Matthew Janisch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marlys Janisch (David) of Eagan, MN, Linda Mader (Larry) of Spearfish, SD, Rhonda Moen (Greg) of Cape Coral, FL and Renee Eggebraaten (Kevin) of Rapid City, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Arla Baker of Sioux Falls and Eugene Ligtenberg (Leola) of Rapid City. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel (805 W Havens Ave, Mitchell, SD 57301). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Near the end of her journey with Alzheimer's, listening to hymns was one of the things she would still respond to.
