Alphus Justice Traywick Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alphus Justice Traywick of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Billingsley, Alabama, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Traywick; his parents, Alphus Traywick and Jannettie Traywick; and his siblings, Mildred, Elsie, Audrey and William.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Traywick and Alyssa Campbell (Jeremy); his niece Delene; his grandchildren, Megan Anderson (Jared), Cameron Traywick, Brooklyn, Conner, Maxson and Evan Campbell; and his great grandchildren, Kaidence, Avaah, Jayce and Emmery Anderson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home (632 St Francis St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Apr Funeral Service (1515 Space Ave, Rapid City, SD 57701). A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Liberty Baptist Tabernacle or a veteran's charity of your choice in his memory.
