He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McDonald and Rose McDonald (Shaheen); his niece Jessica; and his nephews, Michael and James Spomer.
He is survived by: his children, Pheobe McDonald of Sioux Falls, SD, Kayla McDonald of Mitchell and Drew McDonald of Rapid City, SD; and his sisters, Sandra Evenson (Arlin) of Omaha, NE, Kari Spomer (Jon) of Bismarck, ND and Kathy Johnson (Jeff) of Spearfish, SD.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ellsworth Funeral Home and Cremation (321 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery.
