He was predeceased by: his parent Mercy McGhee (McBride); his daughter Jeanne May (McGhee); his father Frank Sr McGhee; and his siblings, Ethel Miller (McGhee), Vern McGhee Sr. and Della Lytle (McGhee).

He is survived by: his former wife Jeanne May (McGhee); and his spouse Shirley McGhee (Brei). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
