It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Plant (Provo, South Dakota), born in Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Herb; his parents, William Plant and Margaret Mae Hammond Plant; his wife Velva LaDonna Horstman; his son Terry; his granddaughter Lisa; his children, Gene Plant (Diane Vanderbeek) of Provo, SD, Mark Plant (Norma) of Ferrysburg, David Plant (Roxane) of Denver, CO and Lisa Miller (Bill) of Hot Springs, SD; his grandchildren, Diana Plant of Wayland, MI, Paul Jachim (Katie Kelch) of Muskegon, MI, Billy Morrow (Paula) of Hot Springs, SD, Bobby Shultz (Alleyn) of Litchfield Park, AZ, Michael Plant (Toria) of Grand Haven, MI, Crystal Oldham (Daniel) of Spanaway, WA, Marissa Miller of Riverdale, UT, Dani Miller of Pierre, SD and Sydney Miller of Hot Springs, SD; and his great grandchildren, Summer Geldersma of Wayland, MI, Logan Geldersma of Wayland, MI, Jason Shultz of Litchfield Park, AZ, Tyler Morrow of Hot Springs, SD, Austin Oldham of Spanaway, WA, Amy and Zoey Plant of Grand Haven, MI. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Herb, adhering to Covid-19 restrictions, will be held from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m., Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD. Funeral services, adhering to Covid-19 restrictions, will be held 10:00 a. m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
