He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar "Ted" and Elva Beckman (Savelsberg) of Prairie City, SD.; his wife Kathryn Shuman of Laverne, OK.; his brother Robert; his parents-in-law, Frank and Hazel "Marie" Shuman; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Shuman, Arvid Brisendine, Dusty Davenport, Luther Valentine, Willard Stone, Reese Anderson, Stella Brisendine (Shuman), Arlena Davenport (Shuman), Darlena Valentine (Shuman) and Marjorie Shuman.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Batey (Shane), Dan Jr Beckman (Jenny) and Cherina Beckman (Kevin Crabtree); his grandchildren, Laramie Batey, Shace Batey, Joshua Beckman, Dylan Beckman, Jaren Beckman, Jaylie Beckman, Hope Crabtree and Will Crabtree; his great grandchild Tayleigh Batey; his grandson Derric Brisendine; and also, Jonathon Stone (Cynthia), Daniel Stone (Pam), Robert Carr, Dewayne Carr (Vicky), Rich Peck (Trish), Chet Carr, Theodora Larson (Joel), Deanna Bartee (Lacy), Roberta Kolb (Alan) and Anita Jamerson (Brian). He is also survived by 4 sisters, 2 brother-in-laws.
