He was predeceased by: his parents, Amel Vanderheiden and Anna Vanderheiden (Pekoske); his wife Ramona Vanderheiden; his siblings, Eugene Vanderheiden (Anna), Lyle Vanderheiden and Elaine Wilkins (Wes); and his brother-in-law Don DuFrain.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dave Tatum (Calista) of Highmore, SD and Deb Blankartz (Dave) of Ohio; his siblings, Floyd Vanderheiden (Gert) of Platte, SD, Arnie Vanderheiden (Shirley) of Platte, SD, Iona DuFrain of Platte, SD and Don Vanderheiden (Joann) of Platte, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Miriam Vanderheiden of St. Peter, MN, Dorothy Petrik of Platte, SD and Tom Tatum (Marilyn) of Platte, SD.
