He is survived by: his wife Norma Van Zee of Platte, SD; his children, Randall Van Zee (Gloria) of Platte, SD, Sandra Brassfield of Rockford, IL, Todd Van Zee (Traci) of Platte, SD, Nancy Nelson (Evan) of Platte, SD, James Van Zee of Chandler, AZ and Krissa Van Zee (Pete Larsen) of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Lindsey Davis (Blaine), Tamra Ronning (Kristofer), Kellie Brassfield, Rockford Van Zee (Haley), Tate Van Zee (Mackenzie), Jayden Van Zee, Mercedes Burns (Jeff), Stewart Van Zee, Mariah Van Zee, Shay Nelson (Cassie), Joslin Peterson (Kaden), Peyton Nelson (Lizzy), Riggs Nelson, Madison Van Zee, Kaden Van Zee, Zach Van Zee, Bryson Van Zee-Larsen and Kinsley Van Zee-Larsen; his great grandchildren, Berkley Davis, Beckham Davis, Walker Davis, Braxton Burns, Hazel Burns and Rockford Van Zee, Jr.; and his sisters, Arlene Fiscus of Platte, SD, Gladys Kuehl (Gordon) of St. Michael, MN and Donna Blomberg of Elk River, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
