He was predeceased by: his parents, John Qualm and Bernice Qualm (Seese); his parents-in-law, Otto and Alice Schroeder; his sisters, Louise Johnson (Vernell) and Luetta Sluiter (Floyd); and his niece Kay Sluiter.
He is survived by: his wife LaVonne Schroeder of Platte, SD; his children, Joel, Lee Qualm (Trudy) of Platte, SD, Sue Davis (Denny) of Sioux Falls, SD, Lynn Qualm (Kay) of Madisonville, TX and Alisa Eberspacher (Darren); and his friend Joel Qualm (Jane) of Ericson, NE. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
