He was predeceased by: his parents, Knut Solheim and Clara Solheim (Thorbjornson); his son Mark Wayne Solheim; his siblings, Ralph Solheim, George Solheim and Betty Osterhus; his parents-in-law, Jentoft and Josephine Halvorson; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Egstad (Erickson), Jeanette Jacobson (Gaylord), Russ Erickson and Bud Egstad.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanive Solheim of Platte, SD; his children, John J. Solheim (Mary) of Bismarck, ND, Rebecca J. Solheim of Pueblo, CO and Paul G. Solheim of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, Marisa Lee Camper, Chelsea Solheim, Cortney Solheim, Sarah Popkes (Solheim) and Markus Solheim; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Cayden Camper, Della and Finn Popkes.
