She was predeceased by: her husband John Koopal; her parents, Adolph Steckley and Elsie Steckley; her sister Shirley Steckley; and her siblings-in-law, Anna Vanderheiden (Gene), Bernice Wesseling and Harlan Mesman.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Pedersen (Duane) of Platte, SD, Tim Koopal of Mitchell, SD and Sandra Bialas (DuWayne) of Parkston, SD; her grandchildren, Nathen Pedersen, KayCee Buffington (Duke), Troy Bialas (Barb), Tyronne Bialas (Emily), Travis Bialas (Gina), Trent Bialas (Becky) and Tyler Bialas (Brianna); her brother Leonard Steckley (JoAnn) of Geddes, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Mesman of Platte, SD and Jim Wesseling of Parkston, SD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
