He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schulte and Emma Schulte; and his siblings, Jim Schulte, Lawrence Schulte, Mary Ann Winders and Margaret Preuss.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Schulte of Platte, SD; his stepchildren, Burton Sly (Jacque) of Rapid City, SD, Deb Nachtigal (Don) of Academy, SD, Cindy Rott (Dwight) of Dawson, ND, Ron Sly of Platte, SD, Kerry Sly of St. Paul, MN, Kim Sly of Platte, SD, Gregg Sly (Rita) of Stickney, SD and Vickie Boltjes (Tom) of Platte, SD; and his sisters, Loretta Larson of Geddes, SD and Luella Parthenay of Vancouver, WA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step grand and great grandchildren.
