He is survived by: his children, Deb Backes (Steve) of Platte, SD, Donna Lowin (Gary) of Sioux Falls, SD, Mike Hoffman (Kathy) of Mitchell, SD, Mary Vanderheiden (Dennis) of Platte, SD, Judy Chase (Dana) of Mitchell, SD, Teresa Drey (Scot) of Pipestone, MN, Jim Hoffman (Rhonda) of Yankton, SD and Gary Hoffman (Mary) of Ethan, SD; and his sister Florence Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
