He was predeceased by: his parents, C. F. "Boss" Creek (JoHanna "Honey" DeJong Wynia) and Platte Creek; his siblings, Daryl, Jim and Luella; and his brother-in-law Al Hockett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lorrinda Antonsen (Kurt) of Platte, Renita VanZee (Keith) of Platte, Renae Kuipers (Mark) of Platte and Vicki Glanzer (Curt) of Huron, SD.; his wife Judy; his sister Clarice Cady Hockett of Hamilton, MT; and his stepchildren, Merlyn Pickner (Zimri) of Pukwana, Cindy Feltman (Dan) of Chamberlain, Dell Pickner of Mesa and Ron Fisher of Chamberlain. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren and multiple step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (101 Main St, Platte, SD 57369). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Platte City Cemetery.
